Holy Thursday Rehearsal at 10.30am for Holy Week and Easter Services. Followed by 12.15pm lunch/buffet. Mums and Dads invited and brothers and sisters too!
There is one group of people who week by week (usually Thursdays) do a job that is unseen and seldom given thanks for – the CLEANERS. Every building has to be maintained and cared for, and part of that maintenance is cleaning; dust, dirt and cobwebs collect in corners, under pews and chairs, carpets, or tiled and wooden floors. Carpets need vacuuming and floors and toilets need washing. Brass and silverware, chalices and ciboriums need to be polished. Those who give up their time to make the House of God look at its best need to be thanked.
My Lord, we thank you for our parish church building that gives us shelter while we come together to worship You, to offer the Holy Mass and celebrate the Holy Sacraments of the Church. My Lord, we all thank You for the parishioners who cleaned this parish church since it first opened in 1937. My Lord, we pray that as the care and maintenance of Saint Teresa’s is passed from generation to generation, it may be a place of welcome and beauty used to Your glory. Dear Saint Teresa, our friend in Heaven, please send down your blessing on our parish family and especially on those who help keep our church, our Holy Family Grotto and grounds clean and tidy. Amen First Saturday Devotions, as requested by Our Lady at Fatima, will be held next Saturday 1st April at 4.30pm followed by Mass at 5.30pm.
Sign-up sheets are available in the sacristy to the Easter Triduum, please sign up as soon as possible. Please note, five readers are required for the Easter Saturday Vigil.
We are a professional couple in our fifties (the decorator and Ofsted registered nanny), originally from Lithuania. We work full time. We are honest, quiet, clean people. We belong to St Teresa's church parish for about eight years and we desperately want to live in this area.
We attend either 9 am or 11am Mass. Please do not hesitate to meet us after the mass and have a chat. Contacts: Ausra 07787949698, ausra.aite@gmail.com |
