On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November 2022, the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre hosted a Vigil Mass, and subsequently an Investiture Service and Holy Mass, in St George's Cathedral, during which new members of the Order were welcomed. Canon Michael had the honour of receiving a promotion to Knight Commander of the Holy Sepulchre bestowed upon him by the Grand Master of the Order, His Eminence Cardinal Filoni of Rome. The roots of the order date back to just after the first Crusade, when a tradition of ceremonially appointing Knights at the Holy Sepulchre developed. https://eohsj.org.uk/ His Eminence Cardinal Filoni, Bishop John Wilson and Canon Michael Scanlon KCHS, St George's Cathedral

Philip Pak, the hospital chaplain. This continued a 35-year tradition and was a wonderful way to share our faith and give a little joy to those who are staying in hospital during this time. A very special thanks goes to the children and staff of St.Teresa's school for joining us, for filling the wards with angelic melodies and to parents for bringing/accompanying their children. And a special thank-you to Fred and the choir for organising such a delightful event.
Message from Fr. Philip Thank you for tonight's carol singing: "It was great to see you all, and patients and staff really enjoyed!!!" Funeral Thursday 22nd December
