This year we celebrate 80 years in Morden. It’s an important birthday so how shall we celebrate the moment? Who can organise a big party? Who can make the cake? Can we consider a huge community event to mark the occasion? Should we devise an international evening to be remembered? Any ideas please to the PPC or Fr. John.
A full-size copy of the world-famous Shroud of Turin is coming to the Holy Cross Church, 46 North Street, Carshalton. See poster in the porch for further details. To Wimbledon College who celebrated the 125th anniversary of their foundation last week with a great celebration at Westminster Cathedral. We wish them every success and blessing with the great work they do in educating our young people for life. Please note that on Saturday, 11th February we welcome Fr. Denis McBride to St Teresa’s 10.00am – 12.30pm. Fr. Denis is a Redemptorist priest and scripture scholar who brings the Sunday readings to life. This event is recommended for readers and catechists especially as it provides the opportunity to understand the stories we hear every week. It is also a faith formation exercise to give us confidence in what we believe and try to pass on. Please remember in your prayers Baheerathy Reshekaron who died recently. Augie Cardozo whose Requiem Mass on Monday, 23rd January at 10.00am. May they rest in peace.
