We keep in our prayers Jim Creighan who died recently. Jim was a Eucharistic Minister and parishioner for many years at St Teresa’s. His Requiem Mass is on Friday 8th March at 10.00am. May he rest in peace.
This is a day of fast and abstinence and marks the beginning of Lent. There will be two Masses on that day, 10.00am and 7.30pm. Ashes will be distributed at both celebrations. The Stations of the Cross will follow the 10am Mass every day. Every Friday during Lent there will be an additional 7.30pm Mass followed by Stations of the Cross. There will be a one hour Adoration in the parish for all people this Sunday 24th February from 5pm – 6pm. led by the Philippine Community. Everyone is welcome to participate as the Lord is calling us to do so. Please come along and support this event.
Let us all remember Fr. John Mulligan who continues to draw us towards Adoration.
1. Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
2. Blessed are the meek; for they shall possess the land. 3. Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted. 4. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for justice; for they shall be filled. 5. Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy. 6. Blessed are the pure of heart; for they shall see God. 7. Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God. 8. Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’s sake; for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. 9. Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. |
