ST TERESA’S PARISH VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION AND SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION

15/2/2025

A Heartfelt Thank You Dear Parish Volunteers,
We extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to the various ministries within our parish. Your commitment to serving our community is inspiring and essential in nurturing all parishioners' spiritual growth and well-being.
The Importance of Ministries St. Teresa Parish thrives on the diverse range of ministries that contribute to the life of our faith community. Each ministry is vital in fostering connections, supporting spiritual development, and serving those in need. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated if you are involved in youth activities, family life, catechesis, liturgical services, outreach programs, or others.
A Special Acknowledgment to Our Parish Safeguarding Team We want to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for our Parish Safeguarding Team. This dedicated group works closely with the Diocese to ensure that all individuals wishing to engage in parish life are supported safely and responsibly. Their commitment to safeguarding principles is integral to maintaining a healthy environment for all community members.
DBS Requirements
As part of our commitment to safeguarding, every volunteer engaged in ministry must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This process is mandatory for all parishes in the Diocese and ensures that we uphold the highest standards of safety and protection for our vulnerable members.
We warmly welcome and thank all volunteers who have renewed their DBS checks or recently completed the initial process.
Your willingness to engage in this critical step is greatly valued, and it reflects your dedication to the safety and welfare of our parish community.
Prioritising Safeguarding
Safeguarding is a top priority for both our parish and the Archdiocese. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. By working together and adhering to safeguarding protocols, we can ensure that our parish remains a place of safety, support, and spiritual growth.
Thank you once again for your priceless contributions to St. Teresa Parish. Your ministry makes a difference, and we look forward to continuing this journey of faith and service together.
With gratitude, And my blessing,
Canon Michael
