On Thursday 11 September at 6.30pm-9.30pm, St George’s Cathedral Southwark is hosting a special evening of beauty, reflection and Eucharistic revival with Christopher West and Mike Mangione. The heart burns with a mysterious thirst; THE WELL is an invitation to quench that thirst. THE WELL engages the imagination and the senses with live music by Mike Mangione and the dynamic presentation of Christopher West, for a revival like you've never experienced before. Tickets cost £20 and can be booked via www.rcaos.org.uk/thewell2025.
For everyone's safety, we kindly ask that you do not walk around the church with lit candles. Dripping wax can create slipping hazards and cause damage to the floors and furnishings. If you are participating in a candlelit procession or service, please remain in your place or follow the designated instructions provided by the ushers or clergy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our church safe and beautiful for all.
Next weekend, 2nd & 3rd August, we are delighted to welcome Fr. Lawrence Danladi from the Missionary Society of St Paul (MSP), who will be sharing with us the inspiring work they do around the world. Please collect an information sheet available in the narthex. We also warmly welcome Fr Godfrey from Uganda, who will be joining from 6th August and staying with us for the month. And last, but by no means least, we are pleased to welcome a new assistant priest who will be joining St Teresa’s in the Autumn, for the next three years. Please join us in extending a heartfelt welcome to all the clergy who will be supporting the St Teresa’s family — whether for a weekend, a month, or several years. May God bless them in their ministries.
