54 low-income countries are facing a devastating debt crisis due to the global financial system pushing them into borrowing money at extortionate interest rates. CAFOD is organising a global Church petition calling for the cancellation of unjust debt, fairer laws and a new debt framework within the United Nations. There was also a mass lobby of Parliament on 9th July. Sign up sheet in the Contact Corner. Jubilee Year of Hope - We have been called to be 'Pilgrims of Hope' in this Jubilee Year of hope for a suffering world. Through CAFOD, we can work together to turn hope to joy.
As the school year comes to a close for the summer break, we extend our warmest wishes to Mr. Justin Dachtler – the Headteacher – along with all the teachers, office staff, support workers, and children for a restful and peaceful holiday. We sincerely thank you for your commitment, care, and dedication to the education and wellbeing of the children at St. Teresa’s Primary School. May God bless you all, and have a joyful and refreshing summer!
Over the weekend of 2nd & 3rd August, we are delighted to welcome the Missionary Society of St Paul (MSP), who will be sharing with us the inspiring work they do around the world. We also warmly welcome Fr Godfrey from Uganda, who will be joining from 6th August and staying with us for the month. And last, but by no means least, we are pleased to welcome a new assistant priest who will be joining St Teresa’s in the Autumn, for the next three years. Please join us in extending a heartfelt welcome to all the clergy who will be supporting the St Teresa’s family—whether for a weekend, a month, or several years. May God bless them in their ministries.
