Fr. Philip Pak is the Roman Catholic Chaplain for St. Helier Hospital. He also has a great helper in Sr. Sheila Mulvey. Both Fr. Philip and Sr. Sheila are available to visit and bring Holy Communion to any Catholic patient in the hospital. The patient, or the family of the patient, can request a visit from the Catholic chaplain at any time in any of the following ways:
You will see that we have now started on phase one of the project and this is the provision of a new toilet block at the back of St. Teresa’s Church. The Lady Chapel EXIT is temporarily closed while these building works are going on. Thank you for your cooperation. Please continue to support us in whatever way you can so that we can achieve our long term objective of developing St. Teresa’s and successfully accommodate and respond to the many needs of the community.
The ministry of welcome is a very important part of our celebration as a parish. The welcomers arrive early and help to hand out newsletters and hymn books as required. They have, however, a very important role as the front door of the community. The welcomer is the first person you meet when you arrive at church. Their greeting and attitude reflects the whole community especially in recognising and welcoming the stranger. New people arrive all the time and it’s important that they are welcomed to St. Teresa’s. So thank you to all our welcomers and if anyone else would like to join this special group in their work and ministry, please inquire at the Contact Corner or contact Fr. John.
