As we approach the Christmas season, we would like to remind everyone that the offerings received during the Christmas Masses are intended as personal gifts for your priests. These offerings help support the priests and contribute to their continued service to our parish community. If you wish to make a donation, please place your offering in the designated envelopes, available at the back of the church, or via the new Payaz machine by the image of Padre Pio. Pope Francis often emphasises the importance of making a choice in our faith journey, reflecting on Jesus’ words: “Whoever is not with me is against me” (Matthew 12:30). This question invites deep self-reflection and commitment.
When he asks, "Are you for me or against me?" he challenges us to consider where we stand in relation to Christ and His teachings. It’s about aligning ourselves with the values of love, compassion, and service that Jesus exemplified.
In a world filled with divisions and conflicts, Pope Francis calls upon us to embrace unity and inclusivity, urging us to be active participants in spreading the message of the Gospel. Being "for Him" means living out our faith authentically, engaging in acts of kindness, standing up for justice, and being a voice for the voiceless.
Moreover, this question serves as a reminder of the importance of discernment in our daily lives. Are our actions and choices reflective of our faith? Are we contributing positively to our communities, or are we allowing division and negativity to take root?
Ultimately, Pope Francis encourages us to choose love over hate, dialogue over discord, and hope over despair. By answering affirmatively to this question, we commit ourselves to a life of service, fostering a church that embodies the love of Christ and reaches out to all of humanity.
