Peace Be With You! Happy Feast Day!!
As we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, we are reminded of the profound mystery and gift of the Eucharist. In the Blessed Sacrament, we encounter Jesus Christ Himself - truly present in His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. This is not just a symbol or a representation, but a reality that transcends our understanding.
As we approach the altar to receive the Eucharist, let us do so with deep reverence and awe, recognising the sacredness of this moment. It is essential that we come to receive the Lord in a state of grace, free from mortal sin, so that we may fully open our hearts to His love and mercy.
I want to express my gratitude to all our parish Eucharistic Ministers who serve with dedication and love, bringing the Body of Christ to our community. Your ministry is vital in ensuring that the faithful can receive the Eucharist with reverence and devotion.
I am pleased to announce that communion under both kinds has been resumed when possible, allowing the faithful to receive both the consecrated bread and wine. This enriches our experience of the Eucharist and reminds us of the fullness of Christ's presence in this sacrament.
To our Ministers of the Eucharist, I offer both spiritual and practical guidance as you continue to serve in this important ministry. Your role is not just a function but a profound service to the Body of Christ. May you approach your ministry with humility, faith, and love, knowing that you are instruments of Christ's presence among us.
As we go to receive Holy Communion, let us remember that this is a sacred moment that unites us with Jesus Christ and with one another as members of His Body, the Church. Let us approach the altar with hearts full of gratitude and love, ready to be transformed by the grace of the Eucharist.
Finally, let us keep in prayer the children of the parish who this month make their First Holy Communion. May this be a special and memorable moment for them as they encounter Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. Let us support them with our prayers and encouragement as they take this important step in their faith journey.
Find time for Adoration it is rich in personal blessings from the Lord Himself.
May the Feast of Corpus Christi deepen our love for the Eucharist and our reverence for the Real Presence of Jesus Christ. May we always approach this sacred mystery with faith, humility, and devotion, knowing that in the Eucharist, we truly encounter the living God.
