On the feast of Corpus Christi blessed by the prayers of the Holy Mother Church Hedy left for Eternal Life to join her parents and the Saints of Heaven. She leaves behind her sister Mary, who we keep in prayer as she journeys with the Cross of Love and Suffering.
Both Hedy and Mary are much-loved parishioners. Both have been faithful servants of the Parish for more than 40 years. The residents of Morton Road will miss Hedy and we are sure looking forward to seeing Mary out of hospital in the days to come.
We thank God for Hedy’s life and her witness to her Catholic faith. This daughter of Co. Galway, Ireland, one of four children, cherished her Irish roots and prayed for the land of her birth.
Her niece Bridget McGloin, who lived across the road from her family home, gave her and Mary fantastic support.
