SECOND COLLECTION: ST GEORGE’S CATHEDRAL
For over half a century, St George's Cathedral has been the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, home to 175 parishes and over 50,000 Roman Catholics.
For many Catholics living and working across London and the South East of England, St George's has been a beacon of light. Today, St George's Cathedral continues to attract thousands of worshippers and visitors each year, as well as serving a lively local parish community which proudly reflects the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of South London.
The Cathedral frequently hosts important Diocesan and national celebrations, as well as concerts and events for various Catholic charities. There is a rich musical tradition, maintaining a choir of boys and men, as well as a girls' choir, both of which sing at Sunday Masses and on major feasts. In many respects, St George's Cathedral serves as a spiritual home and 'beehive' for Catholic evangelisation and mission across the Archdiocese of Southwark.
St George's Cathedral is entirely reliant upon the generosity of its parishioners, volunteers and the Archdiocese of Southwark to keep its doors open. It does not receive Vatican or government funding, nor has an endowment to rely on. Your support can enable the Cathedral to remain open daily to those seeking a place of peace, prayer and worship.

CELEBRATING MIGRANTS AT ST GEORGE’S CATHEDRAL
Everyone a migrant. Anyone who has moved from one country to another, from one part of the country to another, one city to another, one town to another, one street to another is a migrant whether travelled by bus, train, car, taxi, aeroplane, boat, ship or any other means of transport. Everyone is welcome. Bring one another to celebrate the valuable contribution the stranger makes to every structure of society in life across our city and beyond. Principle celebrant Archbishop John Wilson. The Mass will be celebrated on Monday 6th May at 12.30pm at St George’s Cathedral, London SE1 6HR. People are encouraged to arrive early.

PARISH FINANCE
Sunday Collections and Donations
Last weekend's offertory: £752.03.
Second collection for Priest Training Fund: £520.63. Thank you!
This week second collection: St George's Cathedral
With Deacon Con and Fr. Roshy, we extend our heartfelt blessings to you. Gratitude fills our hearts for the Christmas cards, gifts, and messages received. A big thank you to everyone who supported the parish throughout the year. You are the shining light of Christ in our parish family. Your contributions are truly appreciated.
During the current situation, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the many of you who have kindly signed up to standing orders. This is so much appreciated and valued. If you wish to contribute by cheque in lieu of plate collections, this can be sent to the presbytery: St. Teresa’s Church, 250 Bishopsford Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 6BJ. They may be made payable to St. Teresa’s Catholic Church.
Our thanks to the families of Maureen Deb and Theresa Bearn for their generosity and thoughtfulness for the kind donation of £1,000 each in honour of the memory of Maureen and Theresa.
May God bless you and may their souls Rest In Peace and Rise In Glory.
Many thanks to those of you who have so kindly offered to set up standing orders in lieu of our Sunday plate collections. This is a most convenient method of planned giving (for all concerned); already used by so many at Morden – and is vitally important at this time. Regular standing orders can be for any amount, no matter how small – just give what you can afford. Please send a written request via the parish office with contact details.
We will be happy to receive any offerings directly by on-line banking or by standing order, which can be arranged through your bank, or by using the DONATE link here or on the parish website.

Do You Gift Aid?
The value of your donation can be increased by 25% at no extra cost to yourself, simply by gift aiding it if you are a taxpayer. The parish learns nothing about your private financial affairs. The average weekly collection between plate and standing orders, was approximately £2,400 a week (pre-COVID). If only half of that was GIFT AIDED, it would mean an extra £300 a week, or £15,600 a year to Parish funds. We are genuinely grateful to those who are Gift-Aiding. If you haven’t been doing so, please print off a Gift Aid form from the parish website. At the present time the parish income is down about £5,000 each month. Hopefully, when parish life returns to normal, we will soon see these financial worries and concerns disappear.
Please fill in the new gift aid online form or see the Parish office for a paper copy.
