Liverpool Eucharistic Congress

Next Sunday on Corpus Christi all the delegates from England & Wales who are participating in Liverpool will be commissioned for the Congress. So please pray for our 3 delegates from St. Teresa’s: Justin Dachtler, Anne-Marie & Fred Mendonça. who will be commissioned at the 11am Mass. They are part of the 200 delegation representing the Archdiocese in Liverpool. We wish them well on their Mission.

Welcome to the 45 candidates who registered on Wednesday evening.

Candidates: please note that if you are not resident in St. Teresa’s parish, you will require a letter of permission from your own parish priest. All application forms and necessary documentation should be returned to the Parish Office by Sunday 3rd June. The sacrament will be celebrated on Saturday 27th October, 3.00pm.

Catechists:
We would like to secure the help of 5 or 6 additional people to help with the 8 preparation sessions. Please see Fr. John.

First Communion

Many thanks to all involved in the four celebrations of First Communion. Congratulations to the children, well done to the parents. Sincere thanks and appreciation to Margaret Malone and her team of catechists who give so much time and energy to First Communion preparation each year. Gratitude too Mr. Dachtler and St. Teresa’s School for all they do to support the celebration. Last but not least, thank you to all the musicians who gave their time and talent. Thank you to all musicians and servers.

Merton’s Mayor is​ Councillor Mary Curtin

Many congratulations to Councillor Mary Curtin who was elected Mayor of Merton on Wednesday 23rd May. Councillor Curtin was elected to Merton Council in 2014. She came to England aged 18 from Tipperary, Ireland. She is now 1st citizen of the Borough of Merton. Mary is a long standing and loyal parishioner at St. Teresa’s, we wish her every blessing and success in her Mayoral duties. She has appointed Fr. John Mulligan as her Chaplain for the year.
