Peace be with you!
As the Christmas season dawns upon us, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you for your unwavering support throughout the year. It is through your dedication and selfless service that our parish ministry has flourished and touched the lives of so many.
Whether you have served as a Eucharistic minister, shared your beautiful voice in the choir, participated as an altar server, imparted your wisdom as one of our wonderful catechists, or helped in any other way, Thank You!!! Your presence and contributions have enriched our community in immeasurable ways. Your commitment to the various aspects of our parish life has created a tapestry of faith, love, and unity that genuinely reflects the spirit of Christmas.
In this season of reflection and joy, let us not forget our inspiring journey during Advent. Together, we followed in the footsteps of Mary and Joseph, embracing the anticipation and preparation for the birth of our Lord. Through prayer, repentance, and acts of kindness, we sought to align our hearts with the true meaning of Christmas.
I am humbled by the spirit of service willingly offered by so many who have dedicated their time, talents, and help to make our parish activities a resounding success.
As we gather in celebration of Christ's birth, let us remember the valid reason for our joy and extend our gratitude to those who have helped make our parish a haven of faith and fellowship. Their tireless efforts have ensured that our journey to Bethlehem has been one filled with hope, unity, and boundless love.
May the spirit of Christmas permeate every corner of our parish, filling our hearts with warmth and compassion. Let us continue to support one another, extend a helping hand to those in need, and embody the teachings of our faith throughout the coming year.
In conclusion, with Deacon Con and Father Roshy, We offer our sincerest appreciation to all who have contributed to our parish ministry in any way. May your Christmas be filled with abundant blessings, and may the new year bring us closer as a community, united in faith and purpose.
With deepest gratitude,
Canon Michael

The Year of Jubilee 2025

19/12/2023

Picture
The Holy Father has decided that 2025 will be a year of Jubilee, something which happens every 25 years. The theme is “Pilgrims of Hope” and it will be a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of COVID-19 pandemic, and a climate crisis. Preparations for the 2025 Year of Jubilee will begin NOW in Advent 2023, which will mark the start of a year of prayer. The Bishops’ Conference will be producing resources for the preparatory year of prayer, focusing on the Our Father, as well as resources about Jubilee in the Catholic Church. For use by parishes, priests, religious, laypeople, and more, these resources will help guide you as you ready yourself for this most vital year in the Church’s life.

Pope: Let us entrust peace in the world to Mary

19/12/2023

On the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (December 8th), Pope Francis returned to the window of the Apostolic Palace for the Angelus. During remarks after the Marian prayer, the Pope looked ahead to his visit in the afternoon to Santa Maria Maggiore and then to Piazza di Spagna to pray to Our Lady and intercede for a world without war.
“I ask everyone, especially the faithful of Rome, to unite themselves spiritually to me in this act of entrustment to our Mother,” the Pope said, “praying particularly for peace, peace in Ukraine, peace in Palestine and Israel, and in every land wounded by war. Let us ask for peace, that hearts might be at peace, that there be peace!”

SIMBANG GABI NOVENA MASSES

We invite you to join us in a special Novena of Masses from 16-23 December, celebrated at 7:30pm every night in that period. Known as ‘Simbang Gabi’ (meaning “Church-going at Night”), this is a much-loved Filipino custom. Come, join our Filipino community in these celebrations! Mass will be celebrated in English and afterwards, there will be a sharing of Filipino foods in the parish hall.
