Jesuit Missions is looking for volunteers who are calligraphers and who would be willing to share their skills to help create a book of remembrance in honour of our deceased supporters. Hundreds of Jesuit Missions supporters have made our work possible throughout the decades. This November, at the Mass for Holy Souls at Farm Street, we want to show our gratitude through our prayers and in this unique collection. If you are a calligrapher and would like to share your talent to help create the Jesuit Missions Book of Remembrance, please get in touch with [email protected].

TODAY we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the birth and the 100th Anniversary of the beatification of St Thérèse of Lisieux, our patron saint. We are blessed to have Archbishop Emeritus Kevin McDonald, KC*HS join us to celebrate our parish’s feast day followed by a celebration in the School Hall. Canon Michael has invited us to write a letter to our dear, Saint Teresa, and invited the children and young people to take a special part in remembering this great feast day – have you done yours?

Dear Saint Teresa of The Child Jesus,

As we gather in celebration of your 150th Birthday and the Hundredth anniversary of your Beatification, we are filled with immense joy and gratitude for the blessings you have bestowed upon our parish. Your presence as our Patron Saint is a constant reminder of your unwavering love and intercession from Heaven.

You, dear Saint Teresa, are a cherished friend in Heaven, guiding us along the path of simplicity and humility through your Little Way. Your teachings have become a spiritual classic, touching the lives of countless individuals seeking solace and strength in their faith.

We also honour and seek the assistance of your wonderful parents, Louis and Zellie, now Saints, who have raised you to become the beacon of hope and inspiration that you are. Their influence and guidance continue to bless our parish community and we humbly ask for their support for our endeavours.

During this special jubilee celebration, we implore you, dear Saint Teresa, to shower our parish family with a special blessing. In these challenging times, we are in great need of your assistance. We ask for your intercession on behalf of the sick and housebound that they may find comfort and healing in their time in need. May your love envelop our families, especially those who feel lonely or burdened bringing them solace and strength.
We also ask for you guidance and protection for our Parish Deacon, Catechists, Lectors, Parish Leads and all those who selflessly serve in various ministries within our parish. And a special request for your help and blessing in forming our new Parish Leadership Team and a pastoral Vision for our growing community family.

With heartfelt love and deep gratitude, we all thank you for your unwavering support. Your presence in our lives is a constant reminder of God’s abundant love and grace. As we celebrate this momentous occasion, we renew our Commitment to follow your Little Way, seeking simplicity, humility, and love in all that we do.

May your intercession continue to bless our parish, our families, our Parish School and all who live out their faith at Saint Teresa’s. We entrust ourselves to your care, knowing that through your powerful intercession, miracles can happen.

With Love from Our Parish Family,
Canon Michael🙏
