We keep in our prayers John Howard who is to be ordained into the Diaconate this week at St. John’s Seminary, Wonersh. John is a seminarian who spent time in our parish earlier this year. May God bless his ministry.
Coming up to the Christmas festivities – if someone lives near you and are on their own over Christmas and New Year – perhaps you could offer help with shopping or invite then for a meal?
We keep in our prayers Sister Catherine Mulcahy from St. John Fishers Church in Merton. Sister has been in the parish for many years, we keep the priests and parishioners in our prayers.
We also keep in our prayers Austin Mongal who died recently. Readers and Lay Ministers – please go to the sacristy and sign up for ONE celebration. Please pay attention to the dates and times.
It can be our story, too. He was to be called Jesus and he would be great and called the Son of God. Gabriel’s greeting and Mary’s response lie at the Heart of Christmas. God comes to us in Jesus, born of Mary, God steps into the world and shares our human experience - may each one of us find that child-like faith in our lives.
