Important & Useful Information:
IMPORTANT: To ensure we can continue to support you throughout the application process please ensure you select your Local Outreach Recruitment Lead when asked how you heard about this role.
- Don’t forget to make a note of your Application Reference Number as we will need this in order to assist you further.
- Please click here to understand more about the vetting process and what we’re looking for.
- Before submitting your application you must complete the Pre-Application Questions for Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) New Police Constables. Please do not rush through this because if you fail the Eligibility Criteria your application will be rejected and you will have to wait 3 months to reapply.
- If you receive an invitation to attend the Meet the Met Event I would strongly recommend you attend. The event is extremely insightful and an excellent opportunity to hear from officers who have been in the Met for 20+ years.
- To avoid confusion please note the recruitment process is undertaken by an external company called SSCL, who will provide advice on the progress of your application once it has been submitted
- You should be aware joining the Met can take some time, as aside from two assessment days, the vetting procedure which involves background checks, can be lengthy.
I am more than happy for you to contact me via email to go over the various pathways on offer and to answer questions you may have
