Thank you for all the beautiful messages that flooded in on our Parish WhatsApp. They mean a lot to his family. Please continue to keep Joseph and his family in prayer as we journey to the day of his funeral, this Thursday. This young man bore the cross of suffering in the bravest of ways. His love of Christ, his unity with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament got stronger every day. He had support from Heaven. For more than a year he had a very special reliquary containing the relics of some of Heavens greatest Saints including St Peter. He lived in the presence of the Lord on earth in prayer, Masses, Adoration now he Lives with the Saints of Heaven and Our Blessed Lady.
A message from Joseph’s parents
“In true Joseph style, even at his funeral he is thinking of others. He told us that he didn’t want people to spend money on flowers and instead, if people were thinking of flowers, he would rather they make the donation to the wonderful Rays of Sunshine Children Charity. He thought the money could be better benefited by the children and young people that the charity helps. So we have set up a just giving page for you to do that and the link is below:
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/forever19
(When making a donation you are able to make this 100% without Just Giving taking a cut by choosing ‘other’ and then leaving the money at ‘0.00’. This ensures that Rays of Sunshine receives all the money which was exactly what Joseph wanted).
If you want to keep donation amount anonymous that’s absolutely fine but please, please write a short message and leave your name as it gives us great comfort in reading them all.
May Joseph Rest In Peace and Rise In Glory.
