- At Holy Mass, enabled by the Holy Spirit, we offer our lives to God the Father, through Jesus His Son, as an act of joyful and heartfelt thanksgiving for God’s saving love. Through the reception of Holy Communion, we are nourished with the very Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus and thus receive from Him all that we need for our life as His disciples. This is why disciples of Jesus have recognised from the early days of the Church that they cannot live without the Eucharist.
- Be Not Afraid – Jesus is the merciful face of the Father. The Lord’s commandments therefore, come from the heart of God, “the Father of Mercies” (2 Cor 1:3) and can confidently be accepted with trust in God’s wisdom and love. Think of that beautiful prayer: “Jesus I trust in You.”
