St. Teresa’s fosters a sense of welcome, warmth and community. We first opened our doors back in 1937, year after year our parish family has grown. Sons and daughters of many nations live out their Catholic faith in our midst. At this time, every parish, every community is struggling with the consequences of the Coronavirus. So are we. Our doors are open for daily weekday 10a.m. Mass, our Saturday Vigil is back at 5.30p.m. and our two Sunday morning Masses at 9a.m. and 11a.m.are full as we honour the social distancing measures in place. Our services, our Masses, our funerals, baptisms and weddings are online. Many join us on-line for daily and Sunday Masses.
Our unity is with one and all. WELCOME to those who have joined our parish recently or on-line. WELCOME BACK to those trying to re-engage with their faith. Every day, we have those seeking God’s mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In these days of family worries, sickness, unemployment, we offer our spiritual support. We are here for one another.
Holy Mass, prayer and devotions are at the heart of our liturgy. We welcome Jesus into our midst. We gather around the Altar, the table of the Lord, to receive Him in Holy Communion. We need Him. He offers himself totally to us – Body – Blood – Soul and Divinity.
Each day on earth is priceless. Our family and our faith are priceless. You are priceless, YOU are loved by God. You have Angels, Saints and Our Blessed Lady, Mother of our parish with St. Teresa and St. Joseph interceding for you day and night.
My Lord, as I live out my faith here at St. Teresa’s, I wish to thank you for all the favours you have given me. I give thanks for the day I was conceived, for all the time spent in my Mother’s womb, for the day I was born, for all the joys of life, and its sorrows too. My heart beats with thanks for my family and friends, for my journey of faith, for the times I have received the Bread of Life and drunk from the Chalice of Salvation. Day and night, you have blessed me, my Guardian Angel has helped to protect me. Your Blessed Mother has offered her love and support and spiritual protection throughout all my life. I am truly grateful for her help and support.
As I continue to live out my faith here at St. Teresa’s, please continue to bless every day, every hour, every Mas, every Holy Communion, every prayer, every moment I seek Your mercy and forgiveness
Amen
