At Saint Teresa’s we have such a team. With a smile they often welcome people at the door, handout Newsletters, the Kids Bulletin and generally help to make sure the Mass runs smoothly. This is an important part of the serving community. The parish gives thanks to this Team also a word of thanks to those who help at Collection Time. May your ministry and support of our parish Masses especially on Sundays bring you blessings from heaven.
May you welcome the stranger at the door, may you serve the parish community with joy. May you provide a calm order to the Holy Mass, may you be blessed by doing this important work, may Saint Teresa send you Spiritual Roses and intercede on your behalf and all the parish family. Amen. Can anyone provide a medical manikin to help to assist medical training in Ukraine. If so, contact the parish office. https://simbodies.com/product/emergency-medical-skills-male-manikin-ems-man/
Thank you to one and all who gladly take this ministry on at Saint Teresa’s. Leading intercessions in church at Holy Mass is an important role. Finding the right words to speak when interceding between the people of God is a task that needs prayerful time and consideration. It is not a gift that everyone has, and certainly not something that everyone feels able to do.
We would like to open the door to this role at Holy Mass. We are inviting a family, children, young teenagers, our senior citizens, to join a rota to prepare our Parish Intercessions to be read at Holy Mass. We would be delighted if you would like to read them out at the Mass you attend. If you are interested please let us know. A leaflet and guidelines will be available and we can also send this out to your email address. Gracious and Loving Father, we come to you in homage to honour You Sunday by Sunday, bringing our praises, hopes, fears and failings to present to You for forgiveness and blessing. We pray that all who offer these Prayers of The Faithful at Saint Teresa’s will be inspired to find the words which lead us to think beyond ourselves to our neighbour and out into the wider world. We pray that their words may lead us into reflection and stir us into action. Amen. It is only in recent years that internet websites have become a part of the daily life for many of us – and now increasingly parish churches, have designed their own. Information about a particular parish church can, through a website, be viewed anywhere in the world that has internet connection. Some parish churches like saint Teresa’s include daily and Sunday Masses live. We also offer parishioners at Saint Teresa’s the chance for their family and friends to watch a Funeral Service, a Wedding or even Baptism ceremonies.
My Lord, we praise you for the wonders of information technology. In today’s world of instant communication, first impressions are vitally important. We give thanks for the work of Denys Hyde and Chris George and the wonderful back-up they get from Theresa and the Parish Office Team. Our website welcomes and informs, giving visitors a clear up-to-date picture of our parish. For those who are already part of our church family, the website provides a living diary and a source of information. We pray that those who visit our website for the first time will find something in it of God’s love and grace, and that those who are searching may be encouraged further to seek us out so that we may welcome them and bless their journey of faith. Amen. |
